Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) allow people to enroll in health insurance plans outside the typical Open Enrollment Period when they experience Qualifying Life Events (QLEs). These events include changes like marriage, the birth of a child, loss of coverage, or moving to a new area. Once a QLE occurs, individuals generally have a 60-day window to sign up for a new plan. Medicare SEPs operate similarly but with specific eligibility rules, while Medicaid and CHIP allow year-round enrollment. It's crucial to submit documentation to confirm SEP eligibility.

Pro-Tier will help you manage your SEPs. When your company first issues you a subsidy, it opens up an SEP window for you, giving you 60-days to sign up for healthcare insurance. As an individual (employee) you will find these details within your "profile" at the top right of the portal (once you are logged in).
